Why the name Zugi
A name about partnership.
Zugi comes from the Hebrew word zug, meaning a pair or couple. Zugi can mean “my partner” or “my pair.” The name reflects the purpose of the service: helping two people discover whether a meaningful partnership could begin.

A person’s values, intentions, everyday life, and hopes deserve more space than a few prompts and a photo.
Consent should be clear and private
No one should feel publicly rejected or pressured to accept an introduction.

AI can organize and explain information, but it cannot decide personal identity, guarantee chemistry, or make final serious safety decisions.
Jewish identity is personal
Members describe their own Jewish story and the home they hope to build. Zugi does not decide who is Jewish enough.
