How Zugi works
From conversation to a real first date.
Zugi replaces endless browsing with a private, guided process built around compatibility, consent, and meeting in person.
You remain in control of what you share, what matters most, and whether you want to meet.
- Profile
- Conversation
- Approval
- Introduction
- Meeting
Five thoughtful steps
A clear path from joining to meeting.
Step 01
Create your private profile
Start with the basics: who you are, where you live, your relationship intentions, your photos, and the kind of Jewish life and partnership you hope to build.
- You decide how to describe your identity.
- Each field is labeled by how it may be used.
- Private matching information is separated from information shown in an introduction.
- Zugi does not decide whether anyone is “Jewish enough.”
Shared in an introduction
Private to Zugi
Step 02
Talk with Zugi
Have a private conversation lasting about 20 to 30 minutes. Speak naturally or type your answers while Zugi learns about your values, daily life, Jewish life, relationship intentions, and hopes for partnership.
- Pause and return later
- Skip any question
- Type instead of speaking
- Correct an answer
- Mark an answer private
- Raw audio is not stored by default
Zugi is an AI matchmaker. It is not a therapist, religious authority, or emergency service.
Step 03
Approve what is shared
Zugi drafts a clear profile summary based on what you told it. You can edit every section and decide what may appear in an introduction.
- Review every shared section
- Correct anything that feels incomplete or inaccurate
- Keep selected information private
- Nothing is shared until you approve it
- Withdrawing approval prevents new introductions until you approve an updated version
DraftEditApproveStep 04
Consider one introduction
When Zugi identifies a thoughtful possibility, each person receives one private introduction containing approved photos, approved profile information, and specific reasons the introduction may be worth considering.
- One active introduction at a time
- Both people see approved photos before deciding
- Each person responds privately
- The first acceptance remains private
- A decline is never attributed to either person
- AI cannot override a failed hard requirement
Two private decisions. One shared path only if both people say yes.
Step 05
Meet in real life
If both people choose to meet, Zugi helps identify a suitable time and public place for a first date, supports limited logistics communication, and asks for private feedback afterward.
- Full calendars are not shared
- First-date venues are public
- Personal phone numbers and emails remain private
- Feedback is private to Zugi
- Safety and reporting controls remain available
A time that works, in a public place.
Consent without public pressure
Both people decide privately.
- Zugi sends the introduction independently.
- Each person reviews approved photos and profile information.
- Each person chooses “I’d like to meet,” “Not this introduction,” or “I need more time.”
- One person’s response remains private while waiting.
- Scheduling opens only after mutual acceptance.
- A decline is not attributed to either person.
Example response
Your response is saved. We’ll let you know if the introduction is mutual.
Example response
Thank you for letting Zugi know.
Technology with boundaries
AI supports the process. It does not control your decisions.
AI may
- Conduct a guided conversation
- Organize member-provided information
- Draft an editable profile summary
- Identify possible compatibility among already eligible members
- Explain evidence-based reasons for an introduction
- Help summarize operational information
AI may not
- Decide whether someone is Jewish enough
- Infer protected traits from a voice, name, photo, or behavior
- Override a hard requirement
- Score attractiveness
- Diagnose mental health or personality disorders
- Guarantee compatibility or a relationship
- Make final decisions on serious safety cases
- Pressure anyone to accept an introduction
